A Grand Cru with toasted, fruity and floral notes.
This Grand Cru is a roasted, intermediately oxidised oolong. Its name, Da Hong Pao, means "big red robe". The Yancha, or "rock tea", is the most famous. It is harvested in the Wuyi mountains of Fujian province, using the Qi Dan tea plant.
This excellent Da Hong Pao is a delight thanks to its toasted, fruity and floral notes which develop against a highly smooth texture.
To deploy all the aromatic complexity, the leaves should be infused multiple times with the traditionnal chinese method, the Gong Fu Cha.
This tea is grown organically and certified by Ecocert, an accredited independent certification body.
